Chadron Primary School

On Friday, October 28 Mrs. Hendrickson and Mrs. Sandstrom’s 2nd grade classrooms participated in some spooky, Science fun. The two teachers joined together to create Growing Foam Monsters. Liquid expanding foam and food coloring were used to make the monsters. Kids then used pipe cleaners and googly eyes to personalize each monster. It was a messy and fun way to kickstart our Halloween festivities!!

 Chadron Primary School students were treated to a visit from our Chadron Volunteer Fire Department this month.  We originally had planned to welcome firefighters during Fire Prevention Week in early October; however, the crew was called out to fight a fire that same afternoon.  We thank the Fire Department for all of their work and for making time to visit our students.  We also want to thank the Fire Department for the water bottles; every student received a water bottle and were thrilled!  It is always so exciting to have them visit and to check out all of the equipment.  We cannot thank

Chadron Primary students get so excited to welcome and see their friends from the high school and when these students are our Cardinals Committed students, our students light up!  These high school students set such good examples for our younger students and when they take time to visit our young kiddos we are so thankful.  We remind our young students that our Cardinals Committed students make sure to get homework done, listen to their parents and teachers, eat healthy, and follow the Cardinal Way.  Good Luck as you head into sub-district and district competitions Cardinals!

 Reminder: Our last session of Summer Enrichment will be August 1st-4th from 8:00-11:45 at Chadron Primary School. This is only for students that signed up and attended in May/June. See you soon!

 This school year students at Chadron Primary School participated in "Reading for Runza".  Students were able to set monthly reading goals and either read on their own or have an adult read to them as they completed a calendar to track their progress.  At the end of every month students could turn in their calendars and receive certificates for Runza kid's meals.  As a school, Mrs. Ritterbush was able to track which classroom turned in the most calendars and that class earned a Runza Reading Party.  Mrs.
