Primary Students Decorate Courthouse Christmas Tree
Before Thanksgiving when warm weather surrounded us, Chadron Primary students enjoyed a walking field trip down to the Dawes County Courthouse. This has been an annual tradition where our students make ornaments and decorate a courthouse tree. Our students are given a candy cane treat and enjoy the walk along with creating such a warm holiday setting. We hope you can make it to the courthouse to check out this beautiful tree along with the other trees the courthouse is showcasing.
Letters to Veterans
Last week, four classes participated in writing letters to members of the military who are serving overseas. These classes were Miss Collins', Miss Jackson's, and Mrs. K. Rischling's Kindergarten classes and Mrs. Hendrickson’s Second grade class. Each student wrote a letter thanking the Veteran for their service along with drawing a picture. The classes hope these letters will bring some joy to the Veterans as the holiday season approaches.
Over the past
Over the past couple of months we have been celebrating some outstanding students at Chadron Primary School. These students have been honored with a Cardinal of the Month breakfast complete with donuts and breakfast sandwiches. ☺️ We are so proud of the way these young Cardinals follow the Cardinal Way and set wonderful examples for fellow students. Theses students get chosen by their teachers to be honored at these breakfasts and we are so happy to celebrate with them!
Chadron Primary Students Enjoy the Creepy COIL Crawl at CSC
On Halloween Chadron Primary Students enjoyed the beautiful weather and walked over to Chadron State College. Students were able to see the newly renovated COIL building (Center of Innovative Learning) ~ formerly the Math and Science Building. Students were able to wear their costumes and enjoyed many stations that featured sciene/math demonstrations in the form of making gummy worms, viewing bones, sifting for rocks & fossils, story time, a planetarium viewing, and trick or treating as well as many other fun-filled activities that engaged students. We want to thank Dr.
